The NHC family expanded in 2022 with the addition of Sak, Sara's husband, who brought 25 years of educational experience and expertise in Positive Psychology. As the Strategic and Mental Fitness Lead, Sak plays a pivotal role in the leadership team.

While Yasmin took a step back from daily involvement, she continues as a director, ensuring the highest standards of childcare are maintained. The trio, Yasmin, Sara, and Sak, remain actively engaged in the nursery's daily operations, embodying a hands-on approach to uphold the commitment to exceptional childcare standards.

Where it all began...

In 2007, NHC was founded by Yasmin and Sara, each bringing a wealth of expertise to the realm of early childhood education.

With 30 years of experience as an Early Years Educator, Yasmin spearheaded the business, while Sara, equipped with a background in Advertising & Marketing, contributed 16 years of experience as an Early Years Leader and holds qualifications as an Early Years Teacher. Our Expert Childcare Team

We employ committed, caring, and enthusiastic deputies and leaders of units and nursery nurses and they are the key to our success. They are all totally focussed on the wellbeing of the children in their care, and their loving approach to childcare is evident to anyone visiting our nursery.

We ensure that we reward our team well and look after them, and as a result we have very consistent and happy team members dedicated to providing a welcoming and stimulating environment for young children.

High Standards
We recognise that it’s important that we retain excellent staff to ensure consistency of care for the children in our care. Over 90% of our staff are childcare qualified, with all our staff holding or pursuing further qualifications including the early years professional status, BA Hons degrees, Foundation degrees and higher level National Vocational Qualifications.

We expect very high standards from our team, and have a thorough induction and training programme for new members of the team and newly promoted staff. All of our staff are in receipt of an enhanced CRB / DBS check and the safeguarding of all children is of utmost importance within the nurseries. All staff are trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid and we have two trained Fire Wardens on site.

Charity work

We have held many annual charity events since our nursery opened in 2007. Since our inception we have fundraised for over 20 charities. The charities we have supported have always been nominated by parents or team members and the majority have been local or children's charities.

As well as providing invaluable support for very worthwhile causes, the children love the fund raising activities and it provides them with a greater awareness of those less fortunate than themselves.
